“Can philosophy be visualized?”
Public talk at Brooklyn Product Design
In addition to being a practicing designer, I’ve done extensive research in the fields of aesthetics and communications theory. I hold a master’s degree from Hunter College, where I wrote my master’s thesis entitled Post-Representational Presence: Disruptive Actions & Visibility Politics In New Media. I also occasionally give public talks about my ongoing interrogations of design thinking, technology and media theory.
I have conducted social and policy research, including a documentary film about healthcare regulations for trans people and a capstone project from graduate school about activism and media representation during the AIDS crisis.
